THE challenges of the sector
France has committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2030. According to a BPI study, the industrial sector currently represents 20% of emissions in the territory, in third position. behind transport and agriculture.
To reduce the volume of these emissions, strong regulations already exist on the industry to decarbonize the sector: regulatory energy audit, energy taxation (TICPE, CSPE, carbon tax, air pollution fee, etc.) . Other regulatory measures aimed at accelerating the territory's energy transition now apply to industry.

For your office sets
Tertiary decree
The tertiary decree requires sites with tertiary activity areas of more than 1,000 m2 to reduce their energy consumption by 40% by 2030, 50% by 2040, and 60% by 2050. Owners must declare their energy consumption annually on the Operat platform to monitor the progress of compliance.
BACS decree
The BACS decree requires existing tertiary buildings whose power of electrical and thermal equipment is greater than 290 kW (between 1,900 and 3,600m2) to install a BMS system. This decree complements the tertiary decree, because the optimization of electrical and thermal installations reduces the energy consumption of a building.
APER law
The ApER law requires that car parks of more than 1,500 m² associated with industrial sites be equipped with photovoltaic panels covering at least 50% of their surface area by 2026.
LOM law
The LOM law requires that car parks with more than 20 spaces be equipped with one electric vehicle charging station per 20 spaces.

“Carbon neutral” approach for a plywood factory in Occitanie
The Occitan industrialist aimed to review its entire industrial strategy to move towards a “carbon neutral” factory, a first in France. To implement this strategy, our experts explored all avenues to valorize, or revalorize all the site's energies.

Energy consumption was divided by 15 compared to a site with similar activity .
To achieve the client's objectives, our industry experts recommended a complete package of energy work: Recovery of waste heat from industrial processes and cold units, installation of parking lot shades, maintenance advice and resale of energy and co-produced at a nearby leather goods factory.
As the sector with the highest CO2 emissions, French manufacturers must take up the issue and be the driving force behind decarbonization in France. The energy transition is an opportunity for all these factories to gain competitiveness, control their budgets, increase their reputation and attract talent receptive to their approaches.
