ENERLIS present at the BACS day

ENERLIS SPONSOR OF THE “BACS DECREE” CONFERENCE, SHARE HIS FEEDBACK ON THE ENERGY OPTIMIZATION OF THE EQHO TOWER AT LA DEFENSE

Boulogne-Billancourt, May 22, 2023-The BACS decree, a new step towards sobriety and decarbonization of buildings, will be discussed on May 22 between those subject to the decree and solution providers.

Following the publication of the new BACS Decree on April 7, Enerlis is responding to the call from the Government, GIMELEC and Construction21 by sponsoring the day dedicated to the BACS Decree. With the help of Icade, they will share the integrated approach implemented by Enerlis for the EQHO tower, an emblematic building in the La Défense district, majority owned by Icade. This day of discussions aims to share solutions allowing managers of public or private real estate assets to optimize the usage performance of their buildings.

THE BACS DECREE, A LEGAL DEVICE TO ACCELERATE THE DECARBONATION OF PRIVATE AND PUBLIC REAL ESTATE PARKS

Published in a first decree on July 20, 2022, this first version made mandatory the installation of BMS and continuous and automated control of air conditioning, ventilation, heating (HVAC) equipment in tertiary buildings equipped with systems with a higher rated power. 290 kW (approximately 2000m2).
Revised in April 2023, the decree is strengthened , and requires the adoption of BMS systems within the tertiary building stock, of which only a small fraction is currently equipped. All tertiary buildings equipped with systems with a nominal power greater than 70 kW (approximately 1000m2) will therefore have to be equipped with energy consumption management systems by 2027.

On this occasion, GIMELEC , a group of companies in the French electro-digital sector and Construction 21 , an information platform which deals with all subjects of buildings, cities and sustainable territories, are organizing under the leadership of the government a day of decryption and feedback around the BACS decree.

Aimed at all those subject to it, old and new, companies in the sector are invited to share feedback from sites that have implemented BMS and exchange among peers or with solution aggregators around best practices.

On the program, keynote by Agnès PANNIER-RUNACHER , Minister of Energy Transition, intervention by Antoine CARON, representative of the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, round table, pitch… a corpus of speeches to popularize , educate and take action on the BACS decree .

ENERLIS, ENERGY TRANSITION OPERATOR, SHARE THE SOLUTIONS APPLIED TO THE EQHO TOWER TO HELP REGULATORS COME INTO COMPLIANCE WITH THE BACS DECREE

The BACS decree requires owners of subject buildings to migrate to BMS which force a rethinking of the comfort of use of buildings (heating, air conditioning, lighting, etc.).

Enerlis, thanks to a package of tailor-made solutions, adapted to the structure of each building, allows all those subject to it to respect the specifications and to meet the objectives of the BACS decree and the Tertiary decree by committing to the results.

The Enerlis approach aims to replace obsolete systems and optimize existing infrastructures. This is the case of the EQHO Tower – where the day dedicated to BACS will be held, in the presence of the Icade teams – whose GTB system has been completely overhauled by Enerlis.

On average, the installation of a BMS allows for 15 to 20% energy savings.

As part of its low-carbon strategy, Icade initiated this work, started 1 year ago and designed in collaboration with ESSET, manager of the EQHO tower, as a global and multi-technical approach :

  • After an audit which made it possible to define the action plan in order to renovate the GTB, Enerlis proceeded to replace the automations of the exchangers and the air handling units, the automations on the divisional panels (alarm, signaling) and the comfort regulators (temperature, lighting, blinds), produced in partnership with the industrial company ABB .
  • At the same time, Enerlis carried out an audit, then implemented an electricity, hot water and cold water metering plan . This system allows tower consumption to be monitored in real time and adjusted.
  • On the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) side, Enerlis carried out its preliminary audit, then managed the operating call for tenders with a performance guarantee .

The plurality of all these types of work will allow the EQHO tower to ultimately achieve energy savings of 35%.

QUOTES

“ESSET is in charge of the complete management of the EQHO tower, from reception to business catering, including maintenance and technical management of the infrastructure. Our ambition is to ensure maximum comfort for users while providing advice to our clients on the environmental performance of their building. To achieve this, we call on reliable and very specialized partners like Enerlis, particularly in energy management. »

Stéphane Beaujouan, Building Manager Tour EQHO – ESSET

“At Enerlis, we think about BMS of buildings in a multi-technical and global way, which allows our customers to obtain greater energy savings than a silo approach which treats automation systems by function, and not as a set. We always offer tailor-made solutions depending on the structure we are dealing with, to replace the obsolete and optimize the existing one. This approach allows us to deliver our work without degrading the comfort of the occupants. »

Frédéric Carreira, GTB Expert – Enerlis

“At ABB, we believe technology can revolutionize the way buildings operate and interact with their occupants. Thanks to our leading expertise in BMS, we have developed advanced solutions that allow all aspects of a building to be controlled and optimized, efficiently and intuitively. As a global technology leader, we are proud to collaborate with our customers to push the boundaries of innovation and shape the future of technical building management”

Franck Mouchel, Tertiary Segment Manager – ABB France
