Enerlis Solidarité, partner of equal opportunities alongside Télémaque
February 24, 2022
Launched at the end of 2020, the Enerlis Solidarité Endowment Fund is committed to participating in the construction of a fairer, more sustainable world and supports energy progress, the integration of young people into the professions of tomorrow and medical research.
France is the most unequal country in Europe in terms of education, mainly in secondary education. According to the OECD, in France it would take six generations, or 180 years, for a young person from a very modest family (the poorest 10%) to reach the average income (five generations on average for European countries).
Télémaque , created in 2005, positions itself against this social determinism and promotes equal opportunities in education by supporting invested, motivated young people from fragile areas (priority neighborhoods of the city, priority education zone, etc.) . The association thus supports middle and high school students and apprentices from the 5th grade in the general sector and from the 2nd year in the vocational sector. The selected young people are followed through dual “school-business” mentoring, benefiting from the support of a mentor from the professional sphere and a mentor from their educational establishment.
Within Enerlis, equal opportunities have always been a fundamental value. The company welcomes varied profiles and creates plural teams, attentive to differences. Enerlis also recently created its CFA apprentice training center to train future talents in energy efficiency and renewable energies as well as to contribute to equal opportunities by supporting young people outside the traditional path towards careers in future.
Enerlis Solidarité endowment fund , sponsors projects relating to equal opportunities and the integration of young people. In order to financially support this cause but also to engage its employees in its approach, Enerlis Solidarité is now a partner of Télémaque.
Since its launch, Télémaque has mentored more than 1,650 young people with 2,000 mentors and 120 companies involved. Soon, three Enerlis employees will be mentors and will support a young person over a year to help them achieve their full potential.
