Overview of innovations

“Enerlis’ first back-to-school university, social landlords on the front line of the energy transition”, the day of webinars organized by Enerlis was held on September 22, 2020.

Enerlis mobilized its network and its teams around an event of reflection and debate on the current news, namely economic recovery and the energy transition. In total, 22 speakers exchanged and gave their point of view around 4 major themes: contractualization, financing, renewable energies and the latest innovations in the services of social landlords.

WORKSHOP 4 REPORT & CONCLUSION:
Panorama of innovations: updates on the latest inventions and technical innovations

Accelerating the energy transition and calling for strong mobilization also means betting on innovations. “The energy transition calls for innovation. We allow ourselves to experiment and the success of innovation is proof that we tried,” declares Sophie Donzel , general director of Espacil Habitat.

In addition to the testimony of Sophie Donzel, who, like Enerlis, believes very strongly in the need to bet on innovations to accelerate the energy transition, many innovative entrepreneurs and Enerlis partners took turns in this fourth workshop.

They were each able to present their offers:

  • Eric Matifas , director of Bimer Services, which is building with Enerlis an offer dedicated to the use of BIM Maintenance Management tested by Sophie Donzel, including energy data.
  • Jean-Pierre Hue , Energy advisor and former technical and Energy director of ICF Habitat, alongside Olivier Gaudelus, president of HC Green, demonstrated the effectiveness of the ECS Green® solution, which divides the average price per m3 by 3 ECS by integrating renewable energies.
  • Alain Béjean , President of T&H, thanks to whom many discovered a quality social and environmental kit construction solution.
  • François Weinzaepflen , Business Manager East of Enerlis who led the first tests of the Egain® solution, winner of the innovation prize at Propel By Mipim. This is an intelligent heating solution that adapts live to the building and weather conditions to provide the best possible comfort to tenants.
  • Nicolas Deveaux , Solinnov scientific and technical director, finally gives us his vision of new technologies serving the caring home.

They spoke in turn about the digitalization of housing, the sobriety of equipment, the reduction of management costs, future low-carbon buildings and therefore also, heritage enhancement.

CONCLUSION :

Aurélie Gaudillère, President and co-founder of Enerlis, takes the floor to conclude a day rich and dense in information, exchanges and sharing of experience.

She shares her vision of the lessons of such a day:

  • Firstly, the need for transversality. Exchanges between actors generate ideas and create performance, unlike working habits in silos.
  • In this regard, it is important that the management of the federations be leading figures and guide the various donors.
  • Throughout the day, the speakers spoke of the still presence of conservatism, sometimes a little fear, which we must try to overcome to go further, especially “as we hold all the cards in our hands to succeed. »

In addition to thanking all the stakeholders for their participation and the quality of their interventions, Aurélie Gaudillère also wanted to give a voice to the tenants, the direct beneficiaries of the energy transition efforts made by lessors.
Indeed, beyond the climate emergency, it is a question here of social emergency and the fight against energy poverty, reducing tenants' charges.

It was through the voice of Adrien Roux , director of the citizens' alliance, that they spoke.
In particular, he recalls the initial postulate: it is the tenant who has the greatest interest in ensuring that the challenge of the energy transition is the fastest.
There are still many people in debt in energy and there is clearly a gap in time between the immediate anger of people in the face of bills reaching peaks (e.g.: €3,000 electricity bill per year), and the long term of Donor Assets Strategic Plan. With the citizens' alliance, he set up Anglo-Saxon techniques which make it possible to work in project mode, to put the tenant at the center of decisions, to use anger as a driving force to seek out good practices and put around the table of actors who can find solutions together.
He cites in particular an example where Enerlis brought its expertise in rapid boiler changes carried out with Valophis.
We thus create social cohesion and invent new ways of working.

Yves Laffoucrière agrees with this urgency which is essential to all partners.
For his part, he wishes to emphasize the urgent need to continue to increase the skills (of several types) of all actors among social landlords;
Which also influences the often long project design time before work.

To repeat his introductory remarks for the day, we are at a pivotal moment: there are very great needs and many opportunities to be seized.

With nearly 300 participants, the webinar on Tuesday September 22, 2020 was a real success due to its usefulness, thanks to the quality of the speakers and the discussions with all the elected officials, managers and experts involved.
