SOCIAL HOUSING AND ITS PARTNERS ON THE FRONT LINE OF THE HEALTH CRISIS
April 27, 2020
Aurélie GAUDILLERE, Managing Director of the Enerlis Group, was invited to the News Tank Cities webinar entitled “From everyday life to recovery through recovery, social housing and its front-line service providers” alongside major players in French social housing .
The 7 speakers discussed the actions taken by social landlords and their service providers to:
- Manage the emergency;
- Ensure continuity of service, meet the needs of tenants and continue with responsibilities;
- Assume a shock absorber role for suppliers and service providers;
- Prepare for the recovery and succeed in the recovery;
- Demand simplified administrative procedures and rapid decision-making at the territorial level.
Concerning these last two points, Aurélie GAUDILLERE believes that we must “distinguish between short-term operational recovery and recovery in the post-Covid-19 world”.
A new organization “between social landlords and suppliers, with the support of local national public authorities” is to be expected. “We are going to need visibility from social landlords in the continuation of their projects in terms of reducing energy consumption and decarbonizing assets.”
